As a cat lover, I try to include them in some of my children's books. My latest book, Science in My Pocket, is an informational fiction. I included Marigold to add a light touch and bit of humor to the story.

And of course there is nothing like real kittens to warm your heart and bring a smile. Our mama kitty had this patch a couple of years ago, and we were able to find good homes for each one. Many of our cats have made it into one of my books at one time or another.
