I remember the old textbooks filled with boring historical or scientific facts. Now I realize it wasn't necessarily the facts that were boring, but the presentation of those facts. Infographics offer a much better approach, especially with timeline types of facts.
WHAT IS A TIMELINE INFOGRAPHIC?
It is the best type of design to show how something has changed over time.
It usually includes dates, days, or movement of events in chronological order.
It often has a linear, sequential type of graphic organizer such as the line in the infographic above.
It may include thematic shapes and colors such as the yellow hexagons above.
It has a variety of fonts to clearly display facts and information.
HOW TO DESIGN TIPS:
There are many tools to create infographics such as Visme, Snappa, Easel.ly, and Infogram, but I am most familiar with Canva.
Canva has hundreds of infographic templates that can be modified.
It has many specific infographic icons, shapes, images, and illustrations.
It has customizable charts and graphs.
